The On Call tester seems to be working great. It is easy to use and the test strips take a minimum amount of blood, which is great. The problem is the lancet. I inserted the lancet into the holder but I cannot get the needle to pierce my finger. In fact best I can see it doesn't even go past the end of the holder when released. Totally useless. Even called the manufacturer and they tried to walk us through setting it up to no avail. I would expect it's the wrong lancet for this machine. Obviously we need to cancel the arrivals of the lancets, I am using one ii had.

I appreciate having a source for my diabetes supplies that I can afford without insurance. I miss some of the perks from my previous equipment, but I'm sure that will pass. My new meter is slippery, the pen is backwards from my last, and the case doesn't have the extra storage for lancets and alcohol pads. But what I have works and helps me be more independent. All the tools are good quality and easy to use. Thank you!
