received this and compared readings against my name brand device. the differences between the two were no different than when I compared my name brand device against itself. I use an insulin pump with a continuous glucose monitor. I only use the finger sticks to calibrate my sensor or confirm highs and lows. I do not use the meter for anything else so I cannot comment on its other uses. It doesn't look as fancy as what I have been using but why care about appearances. The cost savings are amazing, or should I say that this is what it should cost to test your BG levels? I will continue using diathrive until if and when it /or they give me problems.
