I just received the customer service notification about the founder of Diathrive, Michael Hennessey, and I simply want to say "Thanks" to him for being wise enough to see the need for a company like Diathrive. I am very organized and always on top of ordering my meds/by/mail so I never run out of anything so it was a surprise to me when I realized I was running out of my Lancets/strips and after checking understood that the doctor now prescribing my prescription had changed me from 2X to only 1X daily. It's been 5 years of a.m. and pre-bed glucose checks. When I called I was told I now was at goal for my A1C so only needed to do 1X Daily....and would change it only if when I came back for my follow up I was up and then would ck 2X - not for me but boy the lancets/strips are super expensive without my medicare backing....so with Diathrive I am back to my 2X checking and I feel like I - yup my responsibility - to keep my A1C in check and this will help...also checked it out and I can get my A1C checked at a local lab for a nominal charge which I intend to do every 3 months instead of medicare paid every 6 months....I have control of my health as pertains to Diabetes. Very reasonable price, and multiple choices to choose from. And very easy to use. And love monthly information about supplies, food and and recipes.

Diathrive's products are fantastic; ease or ordering online and speed of shipping is great. I have to test and take insulin 4X daily. Their test strips only require a tiny drop of blood, much less than the OneTouch strips I used previously. The pen needles are much more comfortable than the B/D needles I have always had to get through insurance. Diathrive's prices are great. I pay much less for lancets, test strips, and needles than the co-pays I would have to pay when purchasing at a pharmacy using insurance. I also got the cable and download the data from my meter to my computer so that I can print reports and graphs to take to my doctor appointments. That is the one current drawback. My doctor's office downloads data from most meters using "glooko" which provides graphs and reports. At the moment, glooko doesn't interface with my Diathrive meter. That's why I paid $5 to get the cable, which works fine.

I really love this monitor. Very easy to use and the kit I bought was a good deal and came with everything you would need for a few months. I am having some trouble with the monitor reading the control solution recently. Still I gave this 5 stars because the customer support was easy to reach and very helpful.

finally on my second round of strips with beta testing the bluetooth plug in piece. here is my review: PROS: I can transfer the data when I need to and the main machine keep the data. I sync'd whenever I changed test stripe bottles. I don't have to have the bluetooth on the phone constantly. I love the chart and the log on the OnCall App CONS: I have to log on each sync time I have to tell the app to sync it is not automatic. So the bluetooth dongle and the app needs to be more just plug and play. saying all of this would I stop using this meter and bluetooth set up no unless my caregiver(not at that point) or doctor dont like it. So for the lack of the autonomous aspect of the bluetooth I give the it 3 out of 5 stars. The meter itself I give 4 out of 5 stars. only because the single is just one more thing to carry. I give the original case 1 out of 5 stars because well its black and the whole thing gets lost in my purse/luggage. so I carry all my supplies in a rigid pencil case
